Index card a day No. 16

hi.

My computer has been turned off for about a week now and I have to say, I Love it!

Soon the days of almost 24-hour computer usage will return. Of course, I have been hinting about this for awhile now, this class that will soon occupy all of my free time. But, I have yet to even start it. I just like talking about it I guess. I really need to bite the bullet and get this class started so I can actually complain about not having any free time instead of just complaining about the idea of not having any free time.

So, since I have all this free time, you get another index card. I even dusted off my scrapping supplies for this one.

I painted the index card with acrylic paint and made chevrons using Stickles. I used a Maya Road owl stamp which I then colored with markers and a white Signo pen.

I have an speech bubble stamp but it faces the wrong direction. So, I used it as a stencil instead and now that I am writing this, I realize that I totally COULD have used the stamp and then just flipped the paper and used the backside. Go me!

I traced some letters and colored the speech bubble and letters with markers and a white Signo pen.

I attached the owl and speech bubble with framer's tape for dimension and then used some black ink around edges to grunge it up a bit.
